ROTASURE ENSURES NO MESS

OUR CLEANLINESS

For some, the first thought that comes to mind when chimney sweeping is mentioned is the mess.

They aren’t wrong when you think about all the soot, dust, and rubbish that gets stuck in the chimney, however, this common misconception is one of many reasons why you should choose a qualified chimney sweep to do the job.

WE PROVIDE

Chimney cleaning is a messy job that often results in soot-covered living rooms and furniture.

HIGH QUALITY SERVICE

Choosing the right chimney sweep can ensure that you won’t have to worry about cleaning up afterwards.

EASY PROCESS

However, by choosing the right chimney sweep, you won’t have to worry about having to clean up afterwards.

PROTECTIVE COVERINGS

In fact, by choosing the right sweep you should expect to find your living space as clean afterwards as it was before they arrived.

QUALITY TOOLS

Rotasure prides itself on ensuring that the chimney sweeping process is as smooth as possible, which includes the tidying up of your home.

PEACE OF MIND

Below we have included several things we do to ensure that your home is left clean and tidy, so you’re not left hoovering soot off the sofa for weeks to come.

WHERE DOES ALL THE SOOT GO?

Directly Into The Vacuum

Soot gets pulled directly into the vacuum when it is removed from the chimney.

It is then taken outside of the house to be disposed of responsibly after it has been sealed. In this way, there is no need to clean up, nor is there any additional vacuuming required, and your lovely cream carpets and fluffy rugs will not get dirty with soot.

HOW WE KEEP PROVIDE

CLEAN SWEEPS

At Rotasure, we ensure that all precautions are taken to ensure that you are left with zero mess.

To begin with, we lay a path of clean plastic-backed protective sheets that will run from the front door to the fireplace entrance. If your fireplace is upstairs or the plastic sheets are impractical, then protective boot covers will be worn instead.

HOW DO WE

PREVENT DUST

This is where our powerful vacuum comes in handy.

We are often asked how our sweep team manage to prevent dust and muck from escaping through the fireplace whilst they’re working in or on the chimney.

OUR VACUUMS

Our vacuums are classified as ‘HEPA grade’

Which means that they are made with the most advanced filters available. We highly doubt that a sweep without qualifications will be able to afford to purchase one of these vacuums, since they are a very expensive item.

PREPARATION

Our steps before the sweep can even begin.

Before the sweep can even begin, our vacuum cleaners are inserted into the opening of your fireplace where they are fully sealed before the vacuum can even start working. They are much more powerful than your Henry hoover.

THE RESULT

No dust or dirt will enter the room.

As a result, the vacuums we use are designed primarily for the extraction of fine dust particles which would otherwise escape during a sweep. The vacuums run continuously throughout the job and so, even though you may smell the faint odour of soot, no dust or dirt will enter the room.

DO YOU NEED TO DO ANYTHING?

PREPARATION STEPS

There are a few super helpful but simple things that you can do as a homeowner that will reduce the chance of mess even further. Before we arrive, we ask you to do the following:

PATHWAYS

Provide a clear, unobstructed passage from the main entrance of your house to the fireplace. This may include moving any furniture in the way so that we can lay down the protective plastic sheets

SPACE AROUND FIREPLACE

Clear a 2x2m space in front of the fireplace so your sweep has room to move around freely.

FRAGILE ITEMS

Remove any fragile items such as picture frames and ornaments from the fireplace. We would hate for them to fall off or get broken whilst we’re working.

PETS AWAY

Shut away your pets whilst work is in place. We don’t want Rover or Fido to escape or get involved in ‘helping’!

ELECTRICITY
ACCESS

Finally, ensure a plug socket or extension lead is available for the sweep to plug in the vacuum and any tools they may need
